Le Mans 24 Hour 2019

The first of hopefully many visits to this temple. Nerves shredded excitement high prior to the trip. Once I arrived all that evaporated and it become apparent 24 hours really is that long at all, anyway enjoy. I will ad as I edit so standby for more.

Mercedes 125 Years of Motorsport

Silverstone played host to a special event presented by Mercedes Benz Motorsport. 125 years worth of heritage from OG Silver Arrows a red pig and ten AMG F1 dives. If you want to get acquainted with AMG this seems to be the event. Lewis was there during the week, for my day one Valterri Bottas was in attendance, along with other Mercedes spec drivers to do tours give advice. Anyway enjoy the images …

Autosport International 2019 Birmingham England

2019 kicks off with the yearly trip to Birmingham’s NEC for the Autosport International show. All of motor sport ticked off. Bits of F1, smidge of WRC. the ever popular Live Arena was full to the rafters. Anyway here’s some images, enjoy

Caffeine And Machine Warwickshire

It’s always good to see a new motor venue open up, even better when it’s local. Caffeine and Machine is coffee, food, drink, and curation . Car tribes from all walks are welcome to will love this place. Here’s some imagery from the opening weekend. Good luck to all involved, I’ll be back.

Sunday Scramble @Bicester Heritage

An October morning in Oxfordshire with the autumn colours and some sunshine. What could make this a near perfect day? How about a bunch of well chosen cars, curated with thought throughout Bicester Heritage. OK then !!! Its tough to work out what to capture as there is so much, so it becomes about detail and backdrop. Also a first outing for the D3 i picked up for 300 quid… a 4 grand camera not long ago, it would be particularly useful to see how this beast operates 9 years after its birth. Conclusions, my D750 is going to be replaced for another D monster. Anyway enjoy the cars.

GT Open Silverstone England

Images from GT Open, I love this series real Euro vibe. Silverstone the back drop per usual. Enjoy the ride. So many great cars the BMW M6? wow pure evil. A few Ferrari’s thrown into the mix. Teams from all over Europe, Spanish teams, runners from Bratislava and some from our fair isle all having a battle.

WEC 6H SILVERSTONE

the first full FIA accreditation and a big one FIAWEC enjoy the galleries. Great hospitality from FIAWEC what a first official FIA event, with added star dust I have a feeling the World Endurance Championship is about to get some transcendence from the more casual viewer.

Luftgekühlt 2018 Bicester Heritage

2018 will go down as Hottest summer on record, so trust it to rain for the inaugural UK Luftgekühlt Porsche fest. ThePorsche aficionado lifestyle brand Luftgekühlt brought the Cali Porsche vibe to Bicester Heritage in England. A working motor heritage museum and local airport, based in the heart of the motorsport central, Silverstone is only a few miles away,it’s pre war setting was the perfect backdrop for cars dating from 1948 up to 1998. Singers, 356’s, RUF stock, all here. The now ubiquitous Paul Smith Design was there as well for good measure. To be fair the rain and fact that the summer holidays have started probably held numbers back, but there were still enough folks taking on the drizzle and wind to view some special cars from 70 years of Porsche engineering. The curation was spot on, valuable classics staged around this pretty venue, pop your head round one corner a RUF, stroll across the now sodden grass verges Singer recreations, a stunning sight really was. Massive congrats to #luftGB the rain came down but these cars didn’t care, in fact it added to the occasion stunning cars don’t worry about weather. Hopefully they will gave the good sense to revisit and make this yearly, it could be come a must do on the Car chasing calendar. Until then here’s the images of a future classic

Goodwood Festival of Speed 2018 with MasterCard

FERRARI CHALLENGE 2018 SILVERSTONE ENGLAND

Another weekend looking for cars to chase lead me to Silverstone and some Ferrari magic, Passione Ferrari and Ferrari Challenge. Incorporating racing and viewing some prancing horses. For the racing, tricky wet conditions caused a few fall hard in the rain. Always special to see manufacturers turn up with intent to put on a show Ferrari really do a good job. All the results are here http://races.ferrari.com/en/corse-clienti/race/silverstone-2018/ enjoy the images, thanks to Ferrari Europe for the hospitality and espresso's done properly.

BRITISH GT OULTON PARK

Another wet weekend in the UK and another disrupted event. The British GT is still great, this year more teams,  more attention. An amazing win for Optimum Motorsport's team consisting of Jonny Adam and the super talented Flick Haigh, they created history with a first ever female pole for Flick and an overall win for the pair. Round two didn't happen due to worsening weather and a red flag saw the end of the day and for some a call to the Oulton Park crew for help escaping the muddy car parks. With all that said, can't beat chasing cars in the rain.

DUNLOP BTCC MEDIA DAY

Another day of wet damp conditions, not that I'm moaning love the rain. Donington Park the venue for what will be the 60th running of this perennial favourite. It's going to be an interesting season, driver line ups look strongest for years, with Sam Tordoff returning and Dan Cammish moving over from Carrera Cup duty. Ash Sutton will have a target on his back going on as the champion of 2017, and no doubt the usual names of Turkington, Ingram and Collard will be up the front fighting, can't wait. First round Brands Hatch...

HANKOOK 24H Silverstone

So, first media event of 2018 and solo accreditation for the Hankook 24h Series, wind and rain are a bonus to a weekend like this adding consequence and risk to an already frantic weekend of racing, which saw Proto, GT3 and TCR cars all squeeze onto the airfield at Silverstone. Here's the link to all the classifications https://www.24hseries.com/2018/12h-silverstone-2018/results way to many to put on this site but congrats to all the runners riders and sliders hats off, it was challenging at times below is a galley of choice cuts. Enjoy and get involved via instagram suberashiautophoto and the same for twitter. Get in touch for content. peace

FERRARI 70TH SILVERSTONE ENGLAND

Ferrari came out in force to celebrate its 70th birthday, over the weekend. Part of their world tour showcasing and celebrating everything Maranello and Enzo inspired. Along with all this heritage came the news that this would be my first full accreditation meaning access behind the fence and into the inner sanction to privileged mooching into the pits and lane for race action. Everything was here F40, Testarossa, championship winning F1 metal. Ferrari Races held a few rounds here over the weekend, and for the lucky few, laps inside the insanely glorious FXXK.  All the GT class cars made a showing no 288 GTO though. As a weekend day out defiantly do it!!! you will never see so many Ferrari classics about. Highlights ? seeing classic Ferrari F1 cars flying through Maggots and Becketts full volume no apologies. Massive thanks to Ferrari Europe for the chance (see you at FOS) to cut my teeth and have all that privilege of seeing historic iconic brilliance . More please more I can't get enough of being stood on the side of a track really can't, anyway enjoy the images. Now, how and who do I talk to for more of this???... commissions anyone ?
